7 Best Reasons to Spend Holidays at Great Wolf Lodge
If you’re like me, you are always looking for somewhere to go around the holidays. There is something magical about breaking out of the norm and visiting somewhere new around holiday time. This year we were lucky enough to spend New Years at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, Virginia. Here are 7 best reasons to spend holidays at Great Wolf Lodge.
Snow land
Snowland is a magical experience in the winter time from November through January. During Snowland, there are special activities for families to participate in all day long. Starting with yoga in the morning to a pajama dance party and evening story time, your day will be filled with holiday themed things to do by the fireplace.
Decorations
Great Wolf Lodge does an amazing job of decorating for holidays. There is a beautiful display of Christmas trees in the lobby with several trees. They also beautifully decorate the fireplace. Coming from Miami where we don’t have fireplaces, it was magical to see such a big fireplace all decorated for the season. They also hang snowflakes from the ceiling making you feel like you walked into a winter wonderland.
Snow Fall
It snows in the lobby! As a South Floridian, this was HUGE! They make it snow in the lobby during the dance party. My kids had a blast running through the flurries and trying to catch them.
Themed suites
We did not have the luxury of staying in one of these suites but I’ve seen pictures. They put up a Christmas tree in your room and everything.
Build-A-Bear Exclusives
Great Wolf lodge has some super cute exclusive items for the holidays that you can check out during your stay. They have a whole Build-a-Bear store in the lobby and toddlers love stuffed animals.
New Years Eve celebration
I was pleasantly surprised when I asked the front desk if they had any activities planned for new years eve. They had a whole party in one of the banquet halls with a DJ, balloon arch, free accessories to wear, and food and drinks for purchase. The party was so much fun and the kids got to dance and run around with a whole bunch of other kids staying at the resort.
Water park all year long
One of the best parts of Great Wolf Lodge is that the water park is inside so you can enjoy it all year long!
Overall we had such a great New Years trip because we stayed at this hotel. There was so much to do this holiday season at Great Wolf Lodge, you won’t need to leave the hotel. You can find more info on the hotel’s website HERE.
